The Business Client Platforms (BCP) Architecture team within the Client Computing Group specializes in translating commercial business requirements and needs into innovative products which are realized though end-to-end commercial solutions involving Intel Business Client Platforms.
We are seeking to add a seasoned, forward-looking architect to our team to co-lead Software and Services technical strategy and architectural direction. This individual will take a big picture view of the client ecosystem, provide deep technical analysis of cloud-native architectures, and architect complementary Intel software and services which take advantage of Intel platform capabilities. This will involve decomposing use cases and developing architecture for solutions that meet performance, security, scalability, and reliability requirements. The ideal candidate is a senior-level, strong technical contributor with developed customer engagement skills, who has software architecture experience leading a production cloud solution successfully into production.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in computer science or electrical engineering or related field with 12+ years years of relevant experience
- 7+ years experience as a software, systems or enterprise architect
- 5+ years with virtualization and/or containerization including orchestration of workloads that operate over multiple containers in a public/private/hybrid cloud
- 5+ years experience in cloud native development
- 5+ years experience
with cloud infrastructure definition such as monitoring, telemetry,
automated deployment (CI/CD), autoscaling in environments such as
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Microservices based scale out product development expertise using technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience in Cloud networking, service mesh, distributed and local storage and database services
- Significant experience with Windows and/or Linux operating system environments
- Experience architecting revenue generating SaaS applications
The Client Computing Group (CCG) is responsible for driving business strategy and product development for Intel's PC products and platforms, spanning form factors such as notebooks, desktops, 2 in 1s, all in ones. Working with our partners across the industry, we intend to continue to advance PC experiences to deliver the real-world performance people demand. As the largest business unit at Intel, CCG is investing more heavily in the PC, ramping its capabilities even more aggressively, and designing the PC experience even more deliberately, including delivering a predictable cadence of leadership products.
