Computing Infrastructure Engineer (Experienced)

:



We are seeking a Computing Infrastructure Engineer to join the Emulytics Initiatives department\. On any given day, you may be asked to:



+ assist in extending and integrating Sandia cyber assessment tool sets for SPP and SIPP customers

+ employ IT automation tools such as Ansible and Puppet

+ construct and manage experimental environments for Emulytics \(cyber modeling and simulation\) environments

+ assemble, deploy, and operate cyber test environments, both virtual and hardware\-in\-the\-loop

+ assist in the development and deployment of analytics for cyber systems, to include employing tools such as ELK and Bro

+ conduct software engineering and continuous integration activities for organization 5820 toolsets including Tamizar, SCEPTRE, and M2M



Required:



+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field

+ Experienced with software engineering best practices, to include continuous integration

+ Network engineering experience

+ Programming experience in high level languages such as Python, C, C\+\+, or Java

+ Active DOE L clearance



Desired:



+ Experience with IT Automation tools, such as Ansible, Puppet, and Docker

+ Experience with Sandia Emulytics environments, such as TASE and SCEPTRE

+ Experience with Sandia cyber analytics tools and techniques, such as Tamizar, ELK, and Bro



Department Description:



The Emulytics Initiatives department is responsible for advancing R&D in cyber modeling and simulation with applications in areas including high\-consequence networks, high\-value networks, embedded systems, and control systems\. We conduct research in these areas, with a focus on modeling and advanced analytic techniques, to develop tools to create cyber understanding\.

Security Clearance:



Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted L\-level security clearance to start\.



Position requires an active Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted L\-level security clearance or active clearance with another US government agency, e\.g\., DOD, to be considered for this position\.



Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications\.
