Salary Range:

$73,900 - $166,800

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and self-driven individual to join our High Security Operations IT Services team. As the selected candidate, you will be responsible to perform the full lifecycle management (analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, integration, and maintenance) of multi-user information systems including servers, storage, virtual and cloud infrastructures, including the associated components and subsystems. You will be responsible to maintain the integrity of servers and systems to meet established requirements for service levels, disaster recovery, business continuity, and security. You will also coordinate and interface with customers, suppliers, and domain experts such as networking, software, and desktop personnel.

As a member of 05196, you will ensure adherence to ITIL and Sandia Quality standard. Including following Change management for upgrades, definition of technical standards, functionality tests, documentation, and administration of licensing.

On any given day you may be called upon to:

+ Work independently on assignments which support organizational and Sandia projects, programs, and business operations

+ Develop solutions to specific problems related to issues of moderate scope, complexity, and impact with either internal or external customers

+ Makes recommendations to management on policies and general business operations and activities

+ Recommend changes to methods or processes and occasionally leads teams and participates in planning, conducting, and reporting on projects

+ Design, develop, and analyze overall architecture of internal systems, including hardware and software

+ Determine integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security needs.

Qualifications We Require:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant discipline plus five or more years of experience, or equivalent: experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job

+ 5 years of experience in server/desktop HW/SW Support, System Administration or Network Administration

+ A active DOE Q-Level Security Clearance or DOD-TS equivalent.

+ The ability to obtain and maintain a SCI clearance, which may require a polygraph test.

Qualifications We Desire:

Ideally, we would like to see your background include some of the following:

+ Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant discipline with a year or two of experience.

+ Experience with:

+ Microsoft Windows Server

+ Active Directory

+ ITSM/Remedy, Veritas Backup Exec, Commvault Systems,

+ RHEL, Ubuntu, Linux Command Line Interface

+ Familiarity with:

+ Networking tools such as Cisco IOS, Arista - Router and Switch Configuration - TCP/IP, Network Monitoring, NIC support, Printer/PC/Wireless Networking, Ethernet, Internet, E-mail, Network Monitoring/Packet Sniffing,

+ Strong analytical and organizational skills.

+ Active SCI security clearance

High Security Operations (HSO) performs high-impact, national security work for a broad segment of the Intelligence Community (IC) and other high level security customers. As part of the HSO, the Information Technology Services Department, 05196 enables the reliable and timely delivery of secure IT products and services to satisfy the unique requirements of High Side Operations. Our IT services include Daily Operations, Deskside Field Support, Communication Systems and Special Operations support. The scope of the work for 05196 expands across cyber security, system access, desktop administration, networking, systems administrations and hardware/software support.

Security Clearance:

Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
