The Statistical Consultant will work under the Shell’s Statistical Engineering group who provides wide-ranging expertise in statistics and data science, including analysis of statistical data, design of experiments, financial modeling and forecasting, advanced process control, process improvement, statistical software development and statistics training. The Statistical Consultant will consult with customers at a wide range of levels throughout Shell companies (Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, Corporate, and PT) and collaborates with statistics colleagues in the UK, NL, and the USA, serving customers globally.

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Statistics or a closely related field
  • Must have strong technical skills and direct, hands-on experience in the field of statistics.
  • Awareness of issues in statistics and dependence on data quality
  • Have strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills. Is experienced
  • in communicating with business at all levels.
