The Content Security Technology Lead is a new and innovative role established to drive the technical strategy for Content Security at Apple. This role will help ensure overall technical and business strategy remains tightly aligned with Content Security. The Content Security team is directly responsible for protecting the information security of our content, productions, users, networks & infrastructure. This includes Apple TV+ , Fitness+ and other Original Content lines of business.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical content security experience in the Media & Entertainment industry
  • 5+ years of experience in information security areas such as security architecture, security engineering, system & network security, and application security
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 17799/27002, PCI, MPA)
  • Experience serving as a domain expert, providing technical information security guidance for systems & tools common in Media & Entertainment
  • Strong knowledge of production and post-production technical workflows, including new technologies, and their respective security implications and requirements
  • Experience with application, cloud, system integration, and/or infrastructure deployments
  • Driven to automate and improve security processes and applications
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to navigate the complexities of prioritization while balancing partner relationships
  • Superb communication skills in all written, oral, and presentation capabilities, with an ability to convey complex concepts to all levels of personnel (staff to executive)
  • Effectively coordinates work and communication across disparate groups
  • Able to quickly adapt to new technical and functional concepts
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple contending priorities

Description

You'll be the SME for the technical security strategy of our team and work across Apple to deliver the best solutions in a fast paced environment. In this role you will work closely with leadership, business stakeholders, productions, vendors, IS&T, and others to deliver secure solutions that meet the demands of a high growth organization.

We are looking for someone that is able to:
- Define, create and own the technical security strategy fit for fast paced production
- Extract the best practices from a traditional Information Security program and translate them into a methodology that really engages our partners
- Build imaginative and innovative new methods to securely create content. This includes forward thinking initiatives such as designing and helping implement end-to-end secure cloud workflows for content creation
- Interact directly with production teams to assess and secure production and post production systems & workflows
- Help oversee development and management of the Original Content App & Cloud Security program
- Create technical security documentation and hardening guidelines for Apple TV+, Production, and Vendor ecosystems
- Assist in providing inputs on technical documentation and guidance for risk assessments and vendor/production system ecosystems, including secure network architecture and hardening guidance
- Maintain partnerships with Apple Information Security teams (defense, assurance, appsec, vulnerability management, etc)

Education & Experience

Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience preferred

Additional Requirements

  • - Position will require up to 20% travel (domestic & international) - longer periods may necessitated by business need and demand
  • Experience or understanding of the following concepts is preferred:
  • - Configuring and maintaining firewalls and network switchin /routing devices (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco, HP)
  • - Cloud security best practices
  • - Vulnerability scanning, SIEM and common methods of exploiting vulnerabilities
  • - Endpoint protection and Data Loss Prevention solutions
  • - Secure configuration of Linux, Windows, and Mac based servers and endpoints
  • - LAN, WAN, TCP/IP connectivity and security protocols (Point-to-Point, MPLS, VPN)
  • - Network architecture and layer 2 and Layer 3 routing principles
  • - Wireless authentication standards (802.1x)
  • - Directory Services (e.g., Active Directory, Open Directory, LDAP)
  • - Storage solutions (e.g., SAN, NAS, encrypted storage mechanisms)
  • - Digital transfer tools (e.g., Aspera, Signiant)
  • - OS hardening best practices for both servers and workstations
  • - Computer investigation techniques
