Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) has an opening for a Contracts Negotiator/Sr. Contracts Negotiator supporting the Land Warfare & Defense (LW&AD) Mission Area as a key contributor to the KSA, UAE & Bahrain (KUB) Program Area Directorate. The successful candidate will be responsible for both DCS and FMS contract/pursuit types and cover all aspects both pre and post contract award. Typical duties will include the integration of new contracts, RFP assessments, capture and proposal strategy, contract negotiation, customer engagement and collaboration and contract administration with the U.S. Government and other international customers. Responsibilities include working closely with Program Managers and other functions to construct, submit and negotiate proposals, provide support to leadership regarding contractual and business issues, ensure negotiated terms comply with company policies, advise management of contractual rights and obligations and mitigation of contractual/program risks.

This position may be for a Contracts Negotiator or a Sr. Contracts negotiator depending on the applicants' skills and qualifications

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the following activities as part of a dynamic and high functioning Contracts team:
  • Provide day-to-day management and administration of multiple programs of varying contract types
  • Act as interface for Contracts with Program Management and external customers
  • Support and interface with internal functional organizations (Finance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Pricing) in the daily contract administration and proposal process
  • Prepare, submit and negotiate proposals and incorporate into the contract; perform TINA sweeps (if applicable), prepare confirmation of negotiations
  • Be responsible for compliance within the areas of contract set-up, deliverables, invoice tracking, cash collection, internal/external reporting and audits and closeouts

Position expectations:
  • Capable of multi-tasking and handling several contractual assignments concurrently
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to review/analyze RFP requirements and raise/present possible terms and conditions risks, develop fully compliant proposals and reconcile contractual documents
  • Effective communicator both orally and in writing; strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able and willing to travel both domestically and internationally as required

Required Skills:
  • 4 years of relevant work experience in contract administration with various contract types (both DCS and FMS preferred)
  • BA/BS in Business, Finance or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, TINA requirements, terms and conditions
  • Experience with financial aspects of contracts and other business arrangements
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and shared data bases
