Role Number:200226841
As a Controls EPM within Apple's Special Projects Group (SPG), you will be responsible for working with the Controls algorithms & SW engineering teams to develop and deliver on development plans, progressing through concept/model development, proof of concept demonstration, system architecture, verification & validation, and optimization for scalability. To be successful in the role, it will be critical to work with cross-functional engineering teams, spanning HW, SW and infrastructure stakeholders, as well as with other Apple teams and external suppliers to help the team achieve the program and team specific goals. On a daily basis, the Controls EPM will need to be able to manage and prioritize risks, drive Agile SW development, and communicate clearly with all stakeholders across the organization.
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant working experience
- Experience in SW engineering and project management
- Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
- Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of product development processes
- Strong engineering / technical background
Description
Drives project development; defining scope of work, schedule, and budget
Identifies and prioritizes project tasks and risks
Understands and able to communicate complex, technical, engineering issues
Able to drive decomposition of system requirements to SW requirements and engineering specifications
Coordinates technical design reviews; communicating project status and top engineering issues to project team and management
Helps define SW development processes and test strategies for project
Coordinates design process to ensure design meets intended project goals
Drives suppliers / vendors, integrating their deliverables and schedules into project
Education & Experience
Bachelors in Engineering or other technical field
