POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Are you passionate about negotiating client contracts and helping Sales and the business achieve their revenue targets? Do you engage in balanced lawyering and are focused on client satisfaction and reducing contract cycle times?  RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Closing Deals. Utilize balanced lawyering to negotiate, draft and close a wide variety of complex client contracts with existing and prospective clients, including master services agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and other legal documents, under limited supervision, while remaining consistent with ADP's business practices, policies and goals.
  • Partnering. Advise and provide negotiation support to contract business negotiators that are partnered on client contracts.
  • Training. Conduct periodic training on the services agreements and the contract process in general for Sales and/or the business.
  • Winning New Business. Assist in connection with responses to RFPs.
  • Counseling. Provide general legal advice as required on other matters.

 QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  •  Bachelor's degree and law degree (Juris doctorate) from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Bar membership required (Georgia Bar preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant legal practice, preferably with a top law firm or corporation, with specific emphasis on contract negotiation, outsourcing, analysis and management of contractual risk and exposure.
  • Must possess a superior knowledge and application of contract and business law with strong legal analysis skills and judgment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines are necessary.
  • Must demonstrate ability to be assertive while maintaining diplomatic and professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrated understanding of software, hardware, and technology agreements necessary.
  • Must be able to accommodate some travel.
  • Position is based in Alpharetta, Georgia.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
  • Contract negotiation
  • Analysis and management of contractual risk and exposure.
  • Must possess a superior knowledge and application of contract and business law with strong legal analysis skills and judgment.
  • Must demonstrate ability to be assertive while maintaining diplomatic and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent legal drafting skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of software, hardware, telecommunications and related technology is necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines are necessary.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to work with the client and client's attorneys.
