Job Description

The Intel XPU Architecture team is looking for a passionate and driven individual to help define and build the next generation of highly efficient XPU architectures for Intel. This individual will be a member of the CPU Hardware Microarchitecture team that work along with GPU architecture and software compiler engineers to build new XPU products.

This position will be responsible to develop the technology and team for Hardware Microarchitecture/RTL design for the new CPU core. Responsibilities will also include: Spec/HW Microarchitectural specification creation and RTL development thru to tape-out, including quality in all aspects (performance, power, area, timing and functional convergence.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 7+ years of experience.

-OR-

  • Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 5+ years of experience.

-OR-

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 3+ years of experience.

Related experience should be experience in CPU Core.

-AND-

  • Expertise in CPU architecture, microarchitecture

  • Proficient in Logic Design, System Verilog and debugging

  • Good understanding of overall system level architecture and bus interface protocols

  • Willing to solve architectural/timing issues with right tradeoffs between power, performance, and area

  • Experience in Chip bring up and debugging post silicon issues


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid CPU microarchitecture knowledge especially on core system interface unit , interrupt architecture, Debug architecture (ARM, x86) ,bus interface protocols (AXI, APB).

  • Proven experience delivering high quality IP (RTL, Design, Validation).

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$132,940.00-$199,800.00

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
