The Device Development Group (DDG) E-core team is chartered with designing the latest Intel processors using the most advanced and innovative process technologies. The processors conceived, designed and developed by the team directly contributes to Intel's leading processors used to create integrated hardware and software solutions such as processors, chipsets, graphics processors, motherboards, and networking components that deliver capabilities for security, manageability, performance, and energy efficiency. The agile team is at the forefront of the rapidly evolving digital world of computing by providing processor solutions and capabilities to efficiently manage data that is extensively integrated into all aspects of everyday life impacting how the world rapidly accesses, stores and uses data for daily personal and business applications.
Role responsibilities include:
Develops Pre-Silicon functional validation tests to verify system will meet design requirements
Creates test plans for RTL validation, defining and running system simulation models, and finding and implementing corrective measures for failing RTL tests
Analyzes and uses results to modify testing
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of relevant work experience in/with: - OR - a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant work experience in/with:
Hardware modeling languages, such as Verilog, VHDL, or System Verilog and industry standard logic simulation tools
Industry standard formal verification tools such as JasperGold, IFV, Questa Formal, VC Formal
Test bench development concepts and languages like Specman, System Verilog UVM/OVM
Test writing/generation, checker development, coverage analysis, failure debug, root cause analysis
Programming in one or more of the following languages: C/C++, Perl, Python, Ruby, Java, TCL, etc.

Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with:
In-depth computer architecture with emphasis on out of order processor execution
Intel or industry experience in pre-silicon verification of CPU cores, including specific areas of technical ownership/expertise relevant to CPUs
