Cryptologic Engagement Officer - Entry to Experienced Level
NSA Overview
The professionals at the National Security Agency (NSA) have one common goal: to protect our nation. The mission requires a strong offense and a steadfast defense. The offense collects, processes and disseminates intelligence information derived from foreign signals for intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. The defense prevents adversaries from gaining access to sensitive classified national security information. Cryptologic Engagement Officers represent NSA or its subordinate organizations in interactions with the DoD, Intelligence Community, Industry and foreign partners.
Description of the Position
Cryptologic Engagement Officer's responsibilities include:
- Developing, nurturing, and/or negotiating relationships with the DoD, Intelligence Community, Industry and foreign partners.
- Operating in a collaborative and responsive environment, maximizing dynamic partner capabilities.
- Assessing stakeholder needs and identifying capabilities to address those needs.
- Providing timely and effective support and information sharing within appropriate legal authorities.
- Identifying the internal and external politics that impact the work of the organization and responding accordingly.
