Intel's Accelerated
Computing and Graphics (AXG) group is on an exciting journey to
deliver unprecedented computing power to everyone.
As a
new business within Intel, this is an opportunity to help influence
and shape how the Accelerator and Solutions Customer Engineering
team provides enabling, advocacy and support for our OEM and ODM
customers as they develop, validate and launch server systems that
include Intel GPU products.
The Hardware
Platform Applications Engineer reports into the GPU Hardware PAE
team and is responsible for, but not limited to, the
following:
Providing design-in support and information to customers while developing a trusted-advisor relationship with their engineering teams to ensure customer success in the development and launch of Intel product-based products.
Creating tools and collateral to help make customer's work easier and faster, and make your own work more impactful at scale.
Driving resolution to customer design issues through use of debug skills and collaboration with other experts.
Representing customer requirements and preferences through advocacy within Intel, into various teams that develop, validate, and deploy products.
Other tasks may include writing white papers, developing new product requirements or specifications, lab management, ordering and managing equipment, running product experiments and pilots, issue database management, and travel for customer visits when needed.

Qualifications
Minimum
qualifications are required to be initially considered for this
position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum
requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top
candidates.
Minimum Education and
Experience:
A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years' direct experience in one or more of the following areas:
Intel architecture systems, processors, chipsets or accelerators
Server system validation, debug, signal integrity analysis, power/thermal management, or printed circuit board design
PCI-Express, DDR memory interfaces, SMBUS or JTAG
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience working directly with customers providing technical support for a product.
Experience writing system validation test plans and/or test scripts used for validation.
Platform schematic and/or printed circuit board layout tools and methodologies.
Experience with platform testability architecture and tools such as JTAG/BSDL, C-scripts.
Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of
industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or
schoolwork/classes/research.
