In Complete Vehicle we are a team of specialized functions with various responsibilities: Aftermarket technology developing aftermarket solutions for the brands; FVV breaking down features to technical requirements, as well as verifying and validating products and services; Product Design translating the soul of the brand to a product message; Product Builds delivering all truck and component builds; Special Vehicle Development developing niche products.

Features, Verification & Validation is a global organization using deep customer knowledge to break down customer features into technical requirements. We drive validation plans to reach the requested feature level and secure end customer satisfaction. We also manage the verification plans thanks to world class physical and virtual tests on the complete vehicle such as durability testing in rigs, fuel economy testing, reliability testing with customers and a variety of simulations and tests with trucks on proving grounds and open roads. Our skilled and engaged teams are located in Gothenburg, Lyon, Greensboro, Curitiba, Bangalore and Ageo.

The purpose of this position is to provide engineering support for FEATURES, VERIFICATION & VALIDATION (FVV) of new product development. The Data Analytics Engineer will support the daily activities and develop new ways of working with data analytic tools. Interface and collaborate with engineers to optimize the utilization of test equipment related to data acquisition. Requires the ability to interpret the principles, theories and concepts of a specialized engineering area or assignment.


  • Voice of FVV North America, participation in forums in Volvo group and Group Trucks Technology
  • Actively follow industry trends for data analytics related to data science
  • Lead all data analytics activities for FVV in North America
  • Develop procedures and methods for data processing and storage
  • Generate high quality source code based on company testing requirements
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications in a timely manner
  • Develop and update technical documentation according to company standards
  • Conduct trainings with engineers and other stakeholders at Volvo
  • Develop roadmap for data analytics tools for FVV North America
  • Work closely with external vendors to develop tools for data analytics
  • Support implementation of projects and tools related to data analytics
  • Establish and maintain computational HW strategy for data processing in FVV North America
  • Support other functions within Testing Technology as required



  • Minimum BS degree in Computer Science or related field; MS degree preferred
  • 1-2 years working experience with data analytics is desirable
  • In depth knowledge of code generation in Python or any other programming language is required
  • Previous experience in VBA and/or Power bi is desired
  • Automotive experience a plus
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple activities simultaneously
