Be a part of the Technology Leadership team in the Xeon and Memory Group (XMG) organization within the Data Center and AI Group (DCAI). XMG is responsible for driving the business strategies and roadmap for Intel's largest data-centric business - Intel Xeon. You will play a central role in helping Intel develop exciting new Data Center opportunities by defining and delivering Xeon technologies to our customers as a Data Center technology solution leader.

The Data Center Solution Technology Strategist position will lead a cross-Intel team of experts to identify and define the best technology solutions to intercept our product roadmap. This team will consist of internal representatives from software, enabling, ecosystem, customers, segments/verticals, architecture, design, IP, validation, go-to-market, and more. To assess technology solution needs and value, market and customer engagement is required and expected. This position demands strong leadership skills to drive the team to 1-voice decisions and direction that will be reviewed and ratified by product line and functional group GMs across Intel.

The Xeon Accelerators Strategist role will set the direction for our on-die Xeon accelerators, with emphasis on the right workloads to accelerate, making the necessary trade-offs on performance vs. cost and market adoption. This also encompasses setting the strategy for accelerator integration and industry standardization/adoption of acceleration supporting capabilities (virtualization, ISA/programming, etc.) to enable Xeon acceleration.

Primary Job Activities

  • Lead and manage cross-Intel teams

  • Define and prescribe solution direction and requirements

  • Identify customer needs and value propositions

  • Develop and defend investment business case

  • Make/recommend technology direction decisions

  • Manage complex feature, schedule, cost, and performance tradeoffs

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders and customers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science. MBA preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in technology architecture, design, and/or product management of Data Center compute solutions

  • 2+ years of additional experience defining business strategies and technical product requirements with successful execution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Business strategy acumen and strategy development experience

  • Technical and product experience and depth with customer usages and solution stacks

  • Deep knowledge and experience in Data Center workloads, usages, and deployments

  • Strong product, technology, software and ecosystem background and experience

  • Program management capability and experience in team leadership

  • Customer and architecture engagement/requirements-gathering experience

  • Decision-making experience as driver/recommender to GM/VP product owners

  • Self-starter who can drive business needs and opportunities, translate into technical product requirements, and prioritize investments.

  • Excellent customer communication and collaboration skills.
