The Support Technologies Analytics Team is looking for an outstanding Data Scientist to play an integral role in helping the business make smarter decisions.

The successful candidate will join a tightly knit and highly influential team of business analysts and data scientists chartered with providing critical strategic direction to senior leadership team across Apple Support, identifying systemic opportunities across the Apple ecosystem and delivering insightful self-solve workflows, and intuitive guided analytics solutions.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years hands-on experience in developing and deploying data science techniques to real business problems.
  • Proven experience in handling data science related projects through all phases, including research, data discovery and quality, data modeling and deployment and presentation of results.
  • Strong programming skills in SQL Teradata, Python or R, JMP or SAS, or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to come up with solutions to loosely defined business problems by using pattern detection against large datasets.
  • Strong writing, visualization and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, detailed, and impactful manner to senior executives.Experience with Tableau is preferred.

Description

Responsible for researching, developing and deploying various feedback loop models and other machine learning features into our industry leading Smart Coaching Assistant Tool in partnership with our Support Technologies Platform team including product owners, data engineers and developers.
To perform this job, you possess strong analytical skills and be able to efficiently communicate your insight to the highest levels of the company. Strong public speaking/presentation skills, and command presence is a requirement.
Comfortable supporting, collaborating and communicating with senior leadership team and a consistent track record of building solid working relationships through active listening, delivering promised results, and establishing trust.

Education & Experience

Graduate degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field, or Bachelor degree in related field with 3+ year's experience applying data science techniques to real business problems.
