This role will sit in the Global Pricing team and report into the Group Leader, Pricing and Revenue Management. This role will focus on driving and supporting pricing-specific initiatives at Western Union by using Data Science techniques to measure customer price sensitivity, predict customer behavior & conversion and optimize prices to achieve business financial and customer relationship objectives.

In this role you will work with other leaders in the Pricing Data Science team to design and develop Pricing and Revenue Management models to deliver business results at scale. Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and models and collaborate with fellow Global Pricing team members to provide insights and recommendations for managing revenue growth and customer lifetime value. Partner with Pricing Strategy Analysts on the Global Pricing team to ensure the models developed accurately represent the business environment and that model results are actionable.

You will create presentations that describe model results and recommendations to senior executives and other key stakeholders. Support design of the future state of Pricing and Revenue Management tools, data and processes. Manage work prioritization and execution in a dynamic environment. Actively contribute to team huddles and strategy sessions. Champion company purpose and values, as well as policies/procedures.

In this crucial role you will need strong intellectual curiosity and demonstrated experience developing models and data-driven recommendations that result in better business outcomes. Skilled in data wrangling & modeling (Python preferred), database querying (SQL) and use of cloud-based platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Sagemaker). Knowledge of best-practice modeling techniques for one or more of the following: price elasticity, consumer demand modeling, experimental design, time series analysis, forecasting or optimization. Ability to rapidly synthesize data and model results into insights & recommendations (i.e., taking the What and defining the So What and Now What).

You will need a collaborative personality with ability to build relationships both within the team and across the organization to drive change. Brings a continuous improvement mindset; drives personal growth and development. Strong communication skills helps manage expectations, gives real-time feedback, clarifies for alignment and understanding, appreciates other points of view, active listener. Strong sense of accountability for quality and delivery of end results.

In this role you should have a bachelors or masters degree in a quantitative Field like Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics or similar field. 3-5yrs experience working in analytics. Pricing, Revenue Management, or Financial Services experience is a plus.

Annual base salary gross: $71,726-122,387. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidates qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Unions total compensation package for employees.
