Intel Mask Operations (IMO) Infrastructure Data team in Santa Clara is the team in charge of building a state-of-the-art data center with computing infrastructure to support the world-leading mask operation at Intel.

As a Data Administrator Software Engineer you will be part of an energetic and diverse group of engineers that are building the next generation solutions enabling Intel to be one generation ahead on technology with Industry.

You will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Designs, develops, tests, and debugs software applications used by end-users or integrated with other applications by ISV partners.
  • Development may span the full application stack including both frontend and backend application development.
  • Uses modern software development methodologies and programming languages, follows secure coding practices and software legal compliance guidelines, analyzes user stories, writes both functional and test code, automates build and deployment, and performs unit integration and end-to-end testing of applications.
  • Completes SDL tasks with the assistance of product security engineers and provides input to technical writers to complete product documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • May also interact with end-users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

This is an entry-level position and compensation will be given accordingly.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any other related field of study or expect the required degree by June 2022  

  • Candidates must meet at least 3 months of experience in one of the following minimum requirements:

- PostgreSQL, Mongo, Mysql, Redis, MSSQL, or other open-source database technologies.

- MSSQL, SSIS, SSRS, SQL Development [in depth expertise - in all versions].

- Developing scripts/automation through SQL/PSQL.

- Scripting or development skills - like Powershell, Python, Ansible, and other scripting technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 months of experience in:

-Extreme automation.

-Security / Certificates / Encryption including in transit and at rest.

-Troubleshooting experience in multiple technologies.

-Operating system expertise on windows and Linux.

-Enterprise networking and firewall.

-DevOps, Agile development processes, exploration, POCs and new solution development, deployments.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
