The Accelerated
Computing Systems and Graphics Group (AXG) is chartered with
delivering high performance computing (HPC) and graphics solutions
(IP, Software, Systems), for both integrated and discrete segments
across client, data center and edge computing. The AXG Custom
Compute (XCC) business vertical, is focused on differentiating
solutions with the goal of addressing the custom silicon/platform
needs to our customers. Be a part of the AXG's Custom Compute Group
(XCC) as we build new USD 1B+ businesses for Intel in key
transformation areas like blockchain, automotive, intelligent edge
and next generation datacenters.
Today's
customer needs range from off-the-shelf general purpose SOCs to
purpose built custom SOCs with their IPs integrated. In AXG's
Custom Compute Group (XCC) group, we are building the next USD 1B+
businesses for Intel in key transformation areas like blockchain,
automotive, intelligent edge and next generation datacenters to
meet the unique needs of our customers.
The
Cloud Solutions Architect is a senior technical position
responsible for establishing the complete architectural vision for
solutions and services that maximize use of Intel's graphics,
compute, AI and other platform hardware and software ingredients to
build best-in-class products/platforms to meet our customers'
distinctive requirements. In addition, this architect will drive
the deep internal and external technical engagements with our
co-travelers required to develop and deliver those solutions and
services to our customers. The ideal candidate is an active
technical leader both inside and outside of the company who brings
a strong combination of technical breadth and depth, verbal and
written communication skills and industry experience with a history
of defining, influencing and leading strategic technical
deliverables throughout Intel and the
industry.
Responsibilities include:
*
Develop strong relationships with customers, engineering, product
teams and key account executives to gain deep insight of customer
requirements/pain-points and be trusted advisor to drive solution
improvements while solving business problems.
* Support
customer design wins, create Proof-of-Concepts, define
usages/workloads. Driving customer engagement from RFP to
SOW.
* Create an end-to-end system solutions/platform that
incorporates Intel ingredients (and customer IPs).
* Own
the architecture documentation and use cases including Solution
Architecture, Product Requirement Document (PRD) defining the use
conditions and key system/solution requirements.
* Lead
the product development efforts to take the best technical
decisions making tradeoffs between use cases and
price/performance/power while keep customer schedule and feature
expectations.
* Work with the product managers,
engineering, manufacturing and other technical teams for end-to-end
integration and deployment of solutions in different platforms, at
the edge and in the cloud.
* Collaborate and influence
silicon and software product planning, product management teams
within Intel and leading engineering teams, evangelizing solutions
and products, collaborating across divisions to align on
architecture and segment vertical strategy.
* Support
creation of a multi-year strategy and investment plan for
datacenter segment to advance Intel position and win industry
mindshare.
* Participate in competitive analysis, market
analysis, and various strategic task forces - defining solutions
that fit into edge-to-cloud architectures.
A successful
candidate will demonstrate:
* Exceptional technical
leadership skills and technical expertise in solving complex
problems leveraging internal technical resources as well as
external partners and industry thought leaders.
*
Technical knowledge of platform and system topologies spanning low
power consumer devices through to hybrid cloud augmented consumer
services.
* Ability to provide focus on non-functional
requirements of the solution space such as usability, reliability,
performance, supportability, and security and be a strong advocate
on risk management activities as well as driving performance
testing and security
testing.
Qualifications
*
Successful candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or
other related engineering field of study. A Master's Degree
or PhD is preferred.
15+ years of diverse
architecture, design, verification, and implementation experience
across the stack from hardware through to end user
experience.

Work Model
for this Role
This role will be
eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split
their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and
off-site.
