Join the
Super Compute Platforms Group in the System and Platform
Architecture team and undertake research into futuristic
high-performance compute (HPC) systems. Our focus is on the
research and the development of the next generation supercomputing
systems with an emphasis on short medium and long-range research on
improving or inventing processor architecture, communication and/or
system solutions to accelerate High Performance Computing (HPC)
applications. We are looking to a DC to DC Power
Engineer to join the
team.
Responsibilities include, but are not
limited to the
following:
- Design and validation of platform power systems responsible for all power delivery solutions for Intel's next generation accelerators product line aimed at HPC and AI workloads
- Architect/Design power solutions and printed circuit boards (PCBs) aimed for OAM/PCIe, board platforms supporting total ASIC power from 300W to 1000W.
- Pathfinding and proof of concept planning/activities for next generation power systems, including vendor engagement and partnership
- Work closely with SOC architects on Silicon power architecture to address platform level challenges
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to meet product targets.
- Platform level PDN design, modeling, and optimization to ensure best possible Power Integrity to all GPU/CPU rails
- Power System modelling using SIMPLIS and SPICE environments aimed at pre-silicon verification of worst-case system level power excursions, silicon droop mitigation and peak power clamping
Qualifications
Minimum
skills and experience:
Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical
Engineering or related field with 7+ years of industry
experience. Or a master's in the same field with 3+
years of industry
experience.
Your experience must be in the following:
- Power electronics industry
Preferred skills and experience:
- Power Delivery Network (PDN)
- Voltage regulator module (VRM)
- SIMPLIS (SIMulation of Piecewise LInear Systems) Modeling tool

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
