ADP is hiring a Deal Architect (DA)

  • Are you inspired by transformation and making an impact on the lives of millions of people every day?
  • Are you a natural networker with a head for numbers and a passion for process?
  • Are you empathic to client needs and internal partners with a hunger to drive success?

Well, this may be the role for you. Ready to make your mark?

First things first: At ADP, we're building products for the next generation. We believe people make great companies, not the other way around. Our people make all the difference in cultivating a down-to-earth culture where we welcome ideas and encourage innovation. Our mission is simple: find and acquire talent across diverse cultures around the world who have the strengths to make ADP even better as we continue to evolve and transform. Talent who can help us achieve our goals of delivering innovative market-leading global HR technology to our clients, so that whatever way the world chooses to work, ADP is there to make that a reality.

Your role: As a Deal Architect, you'll play a critical role in sales performance when you, well, architect a sales deal. You'll facilitate every aspect, including configuring the deal, preparing pricing, estimating costs and margins, overseeing and handing off contracts, and submitting a deal to order entry for processing. You are the one who decides to accept or reject a deal based on the metrics. You will partner with the Deal Service Organization's contract managers and legal, who will take the deal forward once approved. In this role, we're looking for someone with excellent business acumen who is passionate about client success and making an impact.

What you'll do:

  • Deal Liaison and Trusted Advisor: As a trusted partner, you'll work with an assigned sales team to assist them in getting their deals through the process to meet sales quotas while ensuring proper financial controls are in place. You'll build relationships based on respect and credibility in the event you must reject a deal. You will coordinate required participation from internal resources as needed.
  • Pricing and Deal Tracking: You'll conduct pricing and margin analysis to determine discounts and profitability. Based on your review, you will decide if deals should be accepted or rejected. You must have the financial savvy to create accurate 30-60 day forecasts based on your deal pipelines, ensure deals meet agreed-upon SLAs with maximum speed to market, and finalize deals in partnership with finance team decision-makers.
  • Product expert: You're well versed in products overseen by the Deal Support Team for your business unit. You'll grow your knowledge base to assess multi-service deal potential.
  • Training: Assist sales with navigating new products and pricing tool enhancements
  • Leasing Support: Prodicyde ADP Commercial Leasing with proper notification and analyses for clients who opt to defer implementation fees; ensure contract reflects deferral terms.
  • Process Improvements: Provide feedback and testing support for pricing tool and enhancements.

Qualifications you'll need:

Education: BS degree or equivalent education or experience

  • 3-5 years experience in a related role (i.e., product practitioner, system implementation, sales representative, IT representative, business consultant, application support/client service representative, finance, or pricing role).
  • Knowledgable of existing products supported by the Deal Service Team, and competitive landscape for those products
  • Demonstrated success working as part of a team on business development for new product opportunities
  • Demonstrated skills in business communications, client presentations, listening, probing, and analysis
  • Technical aptitude using Microsoft Office tool suite and other deal-associates tools.
