WLE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our WLE disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability.

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced contributor to serve as a Depot Sustainment Specialist within the WLE Depot Operations & Sustainment Department, located in Tucson, Arizona.

As a Depot Sustainment Specialist, youll focus on asset repair activities and Government Furnished Property (GFP) accounting. Your goal is to support the Sustainment Management charter of carrying out product support strategies from the areas of development, production, sustainment and disposal in order to achieve affordable operational readiness consistent with Warfighter objectives

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Forecasting constraints through analysis of material failures and inventory levels
  • Communicating repair requirements and priorities to support factory repair schedule and contract obligations
  • Oversight of vendor repair cycle to ensure failed components are efficiently dispositioned, repaired and returned for consumption
  • Identifying and elevating technical execution risks (including technical discipline, technical performance, cost and schedule performance) to depot management
  • Supporting improvements to depot / program service metrics (e.g. turnaround times or availability reporting)
  • Releasing service orders and providing hardware movement notifications
  • Developing and maintaining Excel based charts to communicate status to program leadership
  • Updating customer reports (CDRLs) and government databases (IUID Registry, OIS, TMRS), and reconciling data with internal inventory system

An advanced degree can be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Masters is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Education: Bachelors Degree. An additional 2 years of relevant professional experience may be substituted for each 1 year of college.
Employment Experience:
  • 4+ years experience in manufacturing, logistics, depot or sustainment
  • Experience supporting depot or sustainment activities
  • Experience creating charts or records to organize data
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
  • Existing DoD Secret clearance with SAP/SAR accesses
  • Technical / Engineering background
  • Current or previous experience with factory / depot repair processes
  • 3+ years of Missile Systems/USG depot experience
  • Extensive knowledge of PRISM, LOKI, CABS, and USG databases
  • Experience with government contracts
  • Demonstrated understanding of RMD products and processes, including other WLE disciplines
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently; a highly motivated self-starter, including ability for analytical thinking, sound decision making, and creative problem solving
  • Experience with MS Office Suite - in particular, EXCEL
