ADP is searching for a Network Engineer to join its team. The ideal candidate for this position must be experienced with firewalls, routers, switches, IP tables, VPN, cloud infrastructure and have a background in meeting security compliance such as HIPAA, HiTrust, ISO, and PCI. Responsibilities

  • The IT Network Engineer (NE) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of networks, systems, hardware, software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
  • Infrastructure Security and Hardening for HIPAA and PCI compliance. Experience working within regulated environments which must comply with the technical and operational requirements of certification standards such as PCI DSS
  • Configuring and managing Switches, Routers, Wireless Access Controllers, and other networking devices.
  • Support daily network hardware and operating systems operations; this includes evaluation of system use monitoring response time and serving as primary support for detection and correction of operational problems.
  • Assist in research, design, technical review, and implementation for new network infrastructure hardware and network operating systems for voice and data communication networks
  • Troubleshooting or assists other users with troubleshooting the technical problems associated with Servers, Hardware, Network Connectivity, and Data/Voice Latency and performance
  • Work after hours as necessary to minimize business interruptions (system outages, troubleshooting, system upgrades, etc.) and provide non-business hour support (both remote and onsite)
  • Support, configure, and implement LANs, WANs, VPN, network segments, Internet, intranet systems, and other SaaS or cloud-based services.
  • Provide help desk support, and properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support or appropriate vendors.
  • Assists management in the control, establishment, and enforcement of security for network and infrastructure technology, desktops, and end-users
  • Document internal procedures. Visio
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
  • Create detail documentation for network technology functions.
  • Support information technology initiatives that link directly with our overall strategic business objectives as an organization.
  • Research new technologies that could assist ADP in reducing costs and/or improve productivity as requested.
  • Maintain working relationships with IT vendors to support current and future business needs.
  • Acts as a change agent, and communicator

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology preferred. Candidates with degrees in other fields must have significant compensating experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of server/network infrastructure and network security support
  • Expert knowledge of server administration, DNS, DHCP, Office365, and other Microsoft systems
  • Advanced knowledge in Firewalls, IPS, and other security solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of tool/sets for management and monitoring of network resources
  • Advanced knowledge of configuring and managing VLANs
  • Expert in packet capture analysis skills
  • Deep understanding of NAT, route maps, routing policies, and IPSEC VPN
  • Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies
  • Deep technical expertise in Network Engineering, and Security in a Windows environment
  • Ability to analyze complex technical needs, build project plans and oversee implementation with user impact and systems availability as top priorities
  • Experience planning, evaluating and improving the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency and output
  • Understanding of Active Directory & Domain architecture, DHCP, DNS, File and Print server functions
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, routing, subnets, VLANs
  • Office 365 products, including MS Azure, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Intune, and SharePoint
  • Server Virtualization and VM Management
  • Application packaging and distribution
  • Working knowledge of supporting mobile devices, including mobile device management (MDM) applications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have a passion for providing excellent customer support to all types of customers as well as impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess organizational proficiencies to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision
  • Must be highly motivated, self-starting, and committed to achieving results and have a strong sense of ownership and follow-through to resolution
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and be able to come up with creative and flexible solutions
  • Ability to describe technical information in easy-to-understand terms
  • Scripting skills (Python/Ansible/Bash) or hands-on experience with automation tooling for managing network environments
  • Configuring and managing Firewalls, Switches, Routers, Wireless Access Controllers, and other networking devices. Juniper/Cisco/Arista/Fortinet.
