Printed Circuit Board/Circuit Card Assembly (PCB/CCA) Design Engineer for Lockheed Martin Space; PCB/CCA group. PCB designs range from 2 layer quick turn test boards to space qualified high layer count rigid/flex backplanes with blind/buried/micro vias.

The Design Engineer, PCB, CCA will primarily be responsible printed circuit board layout/routing, drawing creation and release. The position commands great interpersonal communication skills to work with electrical and mechanical engineers, and with manufacturing personnel throughout the process of design to delivery.

Primary PCB development tool is Zuken CR-8000. Seconday RFdesign tool is Altium. Other tool usage for signal integrity, documentation control and inspection, and regular MS-Office tools will be necessary as well

Basic Qualifications
Demonstrated PWB or PCB design cycle experience

Basic knowledge of PWB or PCB design and fabrication as documented in industry standards

Desired skills
-Experience with layout and routing in Zuken CR-8000
-Experience using Altium
-Experience with Downstream Blueprint for PCB fabrication and assembly drawing creation
-Experience designing space electronics
-RF layout and routing experience.
-High speed digital/mixed signal routing experience
-Rigid-flex layout experience
-Basic understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes
-IPC CID certification and familiarity with IPC-2221/2222 and IPC-6012
-Experience with interfacing with PWB manufacturers
-Experience with training new designers
- Bachelor degree required or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree
- Experience with schematic capture, PWB layout and routing, assembly drawing creation and processing design packages through final release
-Basic understanding of electrical engineering concepts as applied to PCB/CCA design and assembly
