In this role, your daily activities will be anything but ordinary. You will design, develop, analyze, debug, optimize, integrate, test, and/or validate existing or new device drivers software, including the design and implementation of platform level features that encompass interfacing with drivers to higher level frameworks. You will Research and collaborate with other engineers and architects in the design, development, integration, and/or validation of device drivers on the target OS.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study
  • 4+ years of industry experience
  • 4+ years of experience in kernel and/or device driver programming
  • Experience in C programing language
  • Experience with data structures, operating systems, networks, and hardware
  • Experience with Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, Ethernet)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master or Ph.D. degree of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field of study
  • Experience in Linux or VMware ESXi for network device driver development
  • General understanding of x86 processor architecture and concepts like virtual memory and paging
  • General understanding of network virtualization
  • Experience with TCP/IP, UDP/IP, VxLAN, Geneve, etc.
  • Experience in design patterns and software architecture
  • Experience writing unit tests and/or using Test Driven Development, and you understand how to write testable code
  • Debugging network protocols

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
