The Datacenter Xeon
and Memory Group software team develops kernel-level software for
storage technologies including Intel Optane Solid State Drives and
Xeon Volume Management Device products. We are looking for a
developer in the area of UEFI (Unified
Extensible Firmware Interface) pre-boot device drivers, requiring
design, development, debug, and end-user support of low-level
software interfacing with BIOS, hardware and firmware.
There are also potential opportunities for growth into other
Operating System development environments, including Windows, Linux
and ESXi.
A Device Driver Engineer
designs, develops, analyzes, debugs, optimizes, integrates, tests,
and/or validates existing or new device drivers software, including
the design and implementation of platform level features that
encompass interfacing with drivers to higher level frameworks. In
this role, an engineer researches and collaborates with other
engineers and architects in the design, development, integration,
and/or validation of device drivers on the target Operating System
for the target
device.
Qualifications
Minimum
qualifications are required to be initially considered for this
position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum
requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top
candidates.
Minimum
Qualifications:
- The candidate must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
- Operating Systems concepts familiarity
- Proficient in C/C++ coding
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Firmware or BIOS development
- UEFI development
- Experience with other OS driver development like Linux, Windows, ESXi

Annual Salary
Range for jobs which could be performed in US,
Colorado:
$100,860.00-$151,260.00

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
