Research delivers innovative device technologies and architectures
to enable Intel's roadmap, invents and demonstrates game-changing
device options, including dense memory, new materials, new device
structures, new architecture and new process integration schemes
for Intel product differentiation.
The
Components Research Device R&D team is looking for Device
Engineers who will be responsible for:
- Performing e-test assessment of novel transistors, including but not limited to DC testing, RF small-signal and large-signal characterization techniques, pulsing, stressing, etc.
- Establishing e-test metrics and criteria of a device based on required application specs.
- Quantifying the trade-offs between various device parameters, generating and exploring novel solutions to meet and solve the demands for continued performance improvements in devices.
- Communicate and clearly identify the performance as well as debug failing elements.
- Development and prove or disprove of models along with the necessary measurements to advance the understanding of devic e physics.
- Use understanding of semiconductor device physics to project, quantify and benchmark performance of a device with best known solutions in literature/academia, and industry best in class.
- Work with various business units.
- Activities include semiconductor device test and measurement, data analysis, model development, industry/academia benchmarking, communication in a team environment.
This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.
Qualifications
You
must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for
this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to
the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying
top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a
combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research
and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum Requirements:
The candidate must possess a PhD degree in Electrical
Engineering, Physics, or related discipline, Candidate must have
the required degree or expect the required degree by May 2022.
6+
months experience in the following
areas:
- Ferroelectric materials and devices
- Test, characterization, and data analysis of nano electronic devices
- Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment such as oscilloscope, pulse generator, semiconductor parameter analyzer (CV-IV), and controlling software
- Design of experiment, statistical analysis methods and analysis software, such as JMP
- Expertise in transistor physics
Preferred Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in the areas Below:
- Familiarity with reliability characterization techniques
- Knowledge of the semiconductor fabrication process
- Experience in RF high-frequency measurement techniques
- Circuit functionalities/design/debug/characterization in logic circuits
