Job Description

Join Intel to have an opportunity to create and extend computing technology to connect and enrich the lives of every person on Earth. In this role you'll be part of an infrastructure team building software capabilities to build, validate and deploy Intel's process design kits (PDK). A PDK is a collection of artifacts that represents Intel's semiconductor process and is used by product designers to model, implement and verify Intel's mobile, desktop and server products before it is manufactured.

The responsibilities for this role include, although not limited to:

  • Architect and implement solutions and tools for improving the infrastructure, applications, and services required to support the development of Intel PDK
  • Work closely with development and validation teams to derive infrastructure design requirements, build, test, and automate tools appropriate to the project, and/or implements and maintains of those systems within the constraints imposed by Intel enterprise infrastructure (IT)
  • Own the end-to-end delivery pipeline, including source code management, versioning/tagging strategy, component build and packaging, test automation tooling, release staging, acceptance and/or indicators, artifact storage and distribution

Qualifications

You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or another closely related field.

2+ years of experience in the following areas:

  • Python or C/C++ or Java/Groovy
  • Linux operating system and shell scripting
  • Version control system (like Git, Mercurial, SVN, etc)

2+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Containerization using technologies like Docker, Singularity, etc., and orchestration systems like Kubernetes
  • CI/CD (like GitHub Actions, Gitlab Runners, Jenkins, ...) and Automation tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas will a plus factor - VLSI design, Physical design automation or EDA tools
  • Experience with building automation tools, REST API, MongoDB or other database tools

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
