Job Description
  • Ensures the efficient planning, provisioning, installation/configuration, maintenance, and/or operations of the hardware and software infrastructure required to build, validate, and release a wide variety of hardware and software products and projects.

  • Works closely with development and quality teams to derive infrastructure design requirements, build, test, and automate tools appropriate to the project, and/or implements and maintains of those systems within the constraints imposed by Intel enterprise infrastructure (IT) and other governing bodies.

  • Owns the end-to-end delivery pipeline, including source code management, versioning/tagging strategy, component build and packaging, test automation tooling, release staging, acceptance and/or indicators, required security and IP scans, any third party conformance tools, artifact storage and distribution, and disaster recovery planning.

  • Identifies opportunities and implements solutions for increased automation, reliability, and/or velocity within the pipeline through implementation of robust infrastructure telemetry, KPIs, and indicators, and by monitoring and applying industry best practices.

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This Position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering plus 5 years field experience, alternatively to a formal degree, 10+ years of field experience.

  • Experience with Debian, RHEL, and Suse based Linux distributions
    • Preferred Ubuntu 20.04 LTS for Debian based
    • Preferred CentOS 7 and CentOS 8 Stream for RHEL based
    • Preferred openSUSE 15 for Suse based
  • Experience with Bash scripting
  • Experience with Ansible and YAML syntax
  • Experience with version control tools such as git and GitHub
  • General experience with Jenkins continuous integration software (plugins and upgrades)
  • Experience with the VMware vCenter 7 and ESXi 7
  • Experience working with server-class hardware (Dell, HP, etc...) doing firmware updates as well as hardware support
  • Experience working with enterprise class storage (Dell, HP, etc...) doing firmware updates as well as hardware support
  • Experience administering production servers which serve multiple users
  • Ability to lift, move, and repair/install server equipment in racks as well as complete power and networking wiring jobs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Windows Server 2016 and 2019
  • Experience with FreeBSD 12.3 or higher
  • Experience with AWS or Azure
  • Experience with LVM and ZFS
  • PowerShell scripting experience as well as the PowerCLI plugin
  • Experience with system monitoring software (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, etc...)
  • Ability to operate in a firewalled environment with iptables and other firewalls you cant see but need to test around
  • Experience with Veeam Backup and Replication Software
  • Experience with web server security, applications, SSL Certificates, and HSTS
  • Experience with Python scripting and package libraries
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with Sphinx and the rEST formatting structure

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
