Director - HR Business Partner

ADP is hiring a Director -- HR Business Partner. In this position you will be responsible for planning, directing and delivering HCM solutions in support of the Global Product and Technology Compliance Solutions organization. In addition to leading HR for this global team, you will be the HR leader for our entire Pasadena Innovation Center, where you will continue to build a strong technology culture and brand that attracts top talent in Southern California.

Proactively consult with Senior Leadership, managers, and associates and recommend HR strategic solutions to improve critical business outcomes. Build a strategic workforce, talent and skills plan for Compliance Solutions that will enable the delivery of our long-term product plans. Ensure a high level of organizational effectiveness through ongoing HR analytics, performance management, organizational design, communications, change management, talent assessment, leadership development and pipeline planning. Champion initiatives that help ADP attract and develop diverse tech talent and maintain an inclusive and engaging culture. Leverage/coordinate with HR Centers of Excellence to ensure that all major HR functions are delivered in a high quality, responsive and proactive manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contributes to and implements established HR strategy that is aligned to the Global Product and Technology Compliance Solutions Strategy while actively participating as a member of the leadership team.
  • Partners and viewed as trusted advisor to the senior team in leading their people strategy to drive organization performance and improve and maintain the quality of the organization's culture
  • Consults with leadership while being a credible partner, providing guidance and influencing leaders to drive business decisions
  • Maintains an engaging, energetic, inclusive and collaborative culture across the organization.
  • Partners with site leaders and Talent Acquisition to maintain a technology brand that leads to a pipeline of strong diverse tech talent in Southern California (e.g., workshops, hackathons, bootcamps)
  • Coach leaders to navigate the complexities of managing teams, including understanding total compensation, managing career development, developing a high-performance culture, providing conflict resolution solutions, building trust and credibility
  • Thought leader on designing organization structure and workforce planning; while being a change leader
  • Advocate and supports leaders on performance and talent acceleration related initiatives and projects (Stand Out, Compass, Talent Touchpoint Discussions)
  • Designs programs that contribute to the continued growth and development of our leaders and associates
  • Partners with leaders to ensure positive and engaging experiences for our associates including a focus on retention
  • Proactively partners with Compensation to ensure internal and external equity
  • Performs "advocate" role in support of assigned clients as it relates to surfacing significant systemic concerns and makes recommendations for changes to Corporate and/or business unit level policies, practices and/or procedures.
  • In partnership with assigned client management organizations, identifies and develops solutions to address specific client needs; e.g.: compensation/job reevaluation projects, job/organizational function design, training/OD interventions to increase team effectiveness, improved communication within and across client organizations, decisions to downsize/ reorganize, post reorganization/RIF mgmt., etc.
  • Assists in the coordination of all aspects relating to large-scale organizational restructurings/RIF's, RIF selection process, adverse impact analysis, coordination with Legal department, RIF event coordination, Severance Agreement generation.
  • Provides counsel and direction and/or directly handles many associate relations cases in partnership with the Associate Relations COE
  • Participates and plays a lead role on project teams as assigned that may have both business unit and ADP wide impact
  • Conducts/Facilitates training for associates and managers; relating to programs such as Diversity, Ethics, Hiring for Success, Unconscious Bias, StandOut
  • Coaches/consults with leaders, managers and associates on issues including performance, terminations, sexual harassment, discrimination, etc.
  • Interprets and complies with all federal and state laws.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • 8 + years of generalist HR experience required
