Custom Structured ASIC Engineering team within PSG (Programmable Solutions Group) develops next generation Intel structured ASIC products based on patented via programmable technology. We are looking for a candidate who can lead and develop a physical design team. The candidate will lead a team responsible for the implementation of complex Subsystem, ASIC, and SoC.T he candidate will perform all aspects of the design from technical readiness, PPA target, high-level design to synthesis, Floorplan, place and route, CTS, timing, power, physical, and reliability signoff to create a final design database for manufacturing. The candidate will work with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies including BU, architect, logic design, design verification, DA, methodology, DFT, and silicon validation to drive the best timing, power, area, reliability, and testability goals. Drive future design methodology direction including optimization for power, performance, and area. As a manager, the candidate is expected to set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance. May also review vendor capability to support development. Selects develops and evaluates SoC design engineers to ensure the efficient operation of the function.


B.S or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field with 12+ years' experience   

12+ years of experience in physical design, place and route, timing closure, and physical integration/signoff.

 5+ years of experience in managing large teams and leadership experience working with senior management

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in delivering highly complex physical design tape-outs.

Preferably done 2-3 tape-outs in advanced process nodes

Proficient in physical design EDA tools such as ICC2/DC/Primetime/PTPX, low-power, and physical verification methodologies

Experience in physical design methodology improvements with cross-functional teams

Experience in collaborating with architecture, front end design, and manufacturing teams for best results

Experience in driving design-technology co-optimization, chip-package co-optimization methodologies

Experience in contractor vendor management

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
