Intel Labs
IP Design and Platform organization is looking for a EDA tools
software engineer who advocates of applying tools/flows and design
methodologies to enable effective execution of complex chip design
projects in diverse environments. As part of the Design Enablement
team, you will develop design
environment/infrastructure,
support design projects, and collaborate to develop solutions/CAD
tools to accelerate new research design prototyping. You will work
closely with design engineers to maximize the efficiency of the
design process.
The successful candidate must possess
strong analytical skills, strong programming skill, self-driven,
detail-oriented, and be able to contribute successfully to teams in
a fast-paced and results-oriented environment. He or she should
have ability to follow a structured and disciplined decision-making
and development process and will be required to leverage strong
interpersonal skills and written and verbal
communications.
Designs, develops, tests, and debugs software tools, flows, and methodologies used in design automation and by teams in the design of hardware products, process design, or manufacturing. Responsibilities include capturing user stories/requirements, writing both functional and test code, automating build and deployment, and/or performing unit, integration, and end to end testing of the software tools.
Qualifications
You
must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for
this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the
requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top
candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a
combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research
and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree (with
3years industry experience) or Master's degree (with 2
years industry experience) in Electric Engineer, Computer
Engineering or Electric & Computer Engineering
2+ years of experience in below
areas:
- CAD and chip design
- Strong proficiency in shell scripting and scripting programming languages (Perl/Python/Ruby/Tcl/Skill) in Linux-based environments is required.
- Software development flows and architecture.
- Digital circuit and layout design.
- Experience with EDA vendors tools and methodologies related with Analog, Digital and Backend design groups
- EDA tools such
as Primetime, StarRC, Design Compiler, ICC, Fusion Compiler and
Innovus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Intel process and internal Intel tools and flows.
- Deep understanding of custom layout tools (Virtuoso)
- Deep understanding of custom schematic tools (Virtuoso) and simulation (Spectre, Hspice)

Annual Salary
Range for jobs which could be performed in US,
Colorado:
$113,500.00-$170,120.00

Work Model for this Role
This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
