We are looking for motivated talent with a can-do attitude to join the Intel DevCloud team in the IOTG Developer Enabling Organization. We are looking for a cloud technical architect responsible for the expansion and scale of Intel DevCloud in support of Network and Edge use cases.
In this role, you will be working with exciting technologies to bring cloud-native and AI development experience to the Edge.
Responsibilities for this role include the following:
- Architect, design, and develop innovative solutions to expand our developer reach.
- Provide technical leadership for the global engineering team involved in IoT, Edge SW, AI, and Cloud.
- Make critical strategic technical decisions for the entire product life cycle, from ideation to product prototype to product execution.
- Architects, designs, and provides technical oversight and direction of the development of Intel cloud software products including system software, frameworks, protocols, algorithms, and applications, as well as software structure and validation direction.
- Researches and designs optimal end-to-end cloud computing software solutions for cloud, cloud-native, orchestration, enterprise, edge, IoT, telco cloud, service mesh, networking, microservices, and/or distributed computing.
- Engages with major customers to understand use cases, participates in open source and standardization industry work to influence architectures, and optimize software, and interacts with technologists and product/product managers across Intel to evaluate the feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development.
- Makes high-level design choices focused on manageability, scalability, usability, resiliency, availability, security, and/or safety for the software structure, protocols, and algorithms.

Minimum
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or similar field with 10+ years of relevant software experience.
- Experience in architecting software solutions using cloud-native computing technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Containers, Microservices, and Red Hat OpenShift / OpenStack.
- Experience with cloud computing and working with various cloud environments (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Red Hat OpenShift, etc.).
- Experience in hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise-to-cloud migration deployments/roadmaps.
- 5+ years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, and/or experience with cloud computing technologies, storage, and/or hardware architecture meeting customer performance requirements.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 5+ years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, and/or cross-business projects.
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Good exposure to REST API development
- Knowledge of AI Training, Edge AI inference, and MLOPS workflows.
- Familiarity with Edge Networking technologies such as 5G, SDWAN, VRAN, etc.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL/Debian/Ubuntu) and Windows knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of MVC architecture, cloud stack development.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience employing CI/CD and DevSecOps concepts.
- Understand data policies, data privacy, Security, licensing considerations. Understand and can articulate common architectural and design patterns.
- Experience in programming languages: Python, Go, Java, C/C++. Knowledge of Jupyter Lab, Notebooks, Github, and VS Code
- Knowledge of Deep Learning frameworks (ex: TensorFlow, Pytorch) and models and is familiar with the deployment of DL based use cases.

Range for jobs which could be performed in US,
Colorado:
$187,370.00-$299,710.00

Work Model for this Role
This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
