PMP is searching for a PMP engineer to embed into two teams: procurement and receiving and inspection.

Candidate will support the following in the procurement role:
• Function as the primary point of contact between the Procurement Organization and PMP relaying critical information between the two.
• Define and implement innovative PMP-Procurement initiatives.
• Vendor issue support including VRICs, q-notes, spec changes, PMPDB changes, supplier questions, and special process issues
• Coordinate with using Programs to obtain their approval as required and ensure Program requirements are met
• Advocate for strategic PMP initiatives including plant stock and LMSSC Preferred Parts
• Interface with other organizations such as supply chain quality, Common Products product line, and planning
• LM-Space representative for corporate-wide procurement issues
• Work materials obsolescence and availability issues
• Will require travel to and from the Waterton facility and the Deer Creek facility 2x per week

Candidate will support the following in the receiving and acceptance role:
• Confer with programs about requirements
• Make on the spot decisions on whether to recommend q-note generation
• Function as the primary liaison between receiving inspection and program engineering to identify and resolve incoming hardware issues
• Identify common issues and define, develop, and implement PMP solutions to prevent future occurrences
• Interface with other organizations such as supply chain quality, planning, procurement, PMP Labs and PMP on programs.
• Will work in the receiving and inspection building for half of every day
• Resolve all hold issues that are due to PMP requirements, including lab/data review performance/issues
• Provide/Coordinate PMP disposition of items with PMP related defects
• Innovative PMP-Dock to Stock initiatives that you get to define and implement

Basic Qualifications
Requires familiarity with spacecraft structure and mechanical piece parts(e.g. fasteners, brackets, housings, etc.) and/or EEE parts. Requires previous experience working with vendors and suppliers. Knowledge of Materials and Processes for development, design, application and production. Excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to multi-task, handle shifting priorities and timeline pressure to meet project deadlines. Familiar with Engineering design (drawing reviews, schematic reviews, etc.). Understanding of material properties definition is required. Strong ability to communicate between organizations

Desired skills
Experience with procurement specifically working on a program. Familiarity with EPDM, SAP and q-notes, P2P, PMPDB, PPST, and PMAPSCO. Candidate should to be a strong self-starter. Working knowledge of MS Office suite, MAPTIS, IHS, NASA Stds, DoD procedures, DFAR, Mil Standards & SharePoint. Confers with producers of materials, such as metals, ceramics, and polymers, during investigation and evaluation of materials suitable for specific product applications. Currently EMRB certified or the ability and desire to become EMRB certified
