Job Description

The SEN Division is a large division whose primary mission is to sustain EW systems deployed by the US Air Force, US Navy, and US Army. In this role, the candidate will perform as a software engineer/developer for a mid-sized team of engineers developing, testing, and deploying highly-complex, real-time software, initially focusing on EW systems deployed on DoD aircraft.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Develop and/or sustain large embedded software applications
• Document embedded software application requirements, design and test procedures
• Assist with lab testing and flight testing in support of embedded software development

Education & Length of Experience

Research Engineer/Scientist/Technologist I

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.

Research Engineer/Scientist/Technologist II

• A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical field and three (3) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree,
• A Master’s degree and five (5) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelor’s degree,
• A Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical field

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in software development for embedded systems

Preferred Qualifications

• >5 years experience in embedded software development
• Experience in software development for EW systems or other military applications
• Experience in development of low-level I/O device drivers
• Experience in porting software algorithms from one processor to another processor
• Experience with aircraft serial buses such as MIL-STD-1553
• Works well individually or in a group setting

U.S. Citizenship Requirements

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.

Clearance Type Required

Ability to obtain Secret Clearance upon hire
