As
a Lab Engineering Technician, you will be part of Technology
Development Materials Analytical Labs responsible for operating
high vacuum materials characterization equipment such as XPS, SIMS,
TOFSIMS, XRD, AES, SEM, FIB and others to provide data for feedback
to advanced semiconductor process development, yield, and failure
analysis. The candidate will work in concert with and take
direction from Lab engineers to perform sample preparation, load
equipment, set-up samples analysis, and output result to engineers.
Assignments are semi routine in nature. Work performed within
generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in
resolving nonstandard problems. Normally receives general
instructions on most work.
Responsibilities will
include but are not limited
to:
- Preparation of samples for analysis and loading equipment.
- Set-up, tuning, and operation of analytical equipment to perform data collection.
- Equipment troubleshooting and basic tool maintenance.
- Communicating tool states and analysis details to Lab engineers.
- Organization of lab sample inventory and workflow tracking.
The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Multitasking skills.
This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
Qualifications
Minimum
qualifications are required to be initially considered for this
position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum
requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top
candidates.
Minimum
Qualifications:
- The
candidate must possess at least one of the following educational or
experience
requirements:
- Candidate must possess an Associates or Bachelors degree in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other STEM related field. OR
- Military training in a technical field. OR
- 2+ years of laboratory experience.
- This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in materials characterization techniques such as SEM, FIB, TEM, AFM, SIMS, XPS, AES.
- Experience with high vacuum process or analytical equipment.
- Hand-on skills and mechanical troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication, test and/or assembly packaging processing and associated materials.
- Deposition and characterization of semiconductor materials experience.
