Job Description

We are seeking motivated individuals with leadership and technical background with capabilities to support and sustain process technologies. In this position you will be assisting in the development process in Wafer Assembly Technology Development (WATD) Die Prep Modules in Assembly and Test Technology Development (ATTD) to meet quality reliability cost yield productivity and manufacturability requirements.

  • Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect data or assist in research work.
  • Assignments are semi routine in nature. Work performed within generally defined parameters.
  • Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems.
  • Normally receives general instructions on most work.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Work on a Night Shift, either Shift 4 or Shift 6, compressed work week schedule.
  • Primary responsibilities are executed on the production floor.
  • Recipe development for New Product Introductions (NPIs) process optimizations maintaining process control systems (PCS) stability/capability assessments and tool availability improvements of process recipes.
  • Attention to process parameter details required.
  • Respond to real time process excursions in the Technology Development (TD) line containing material and completing documentation with details to publish to factory stakeholders.
  • Work in a highly matrixed environment interfacing with multiple development groups including Manufacturing other shift engineering teams Platform Integration and Module Tool Owners/GLs.
  • Identifying areas of improvements in quality reliability cost yield process stability.
  • Capability productivity safety/ergonomics.
  • Auditing parameters and variables such as material method equipment environment and operating personnel 5m.
  • Providing input to resolve difficult problems and efforts to establish systems to deal with these problems in the future.
  • Training TD or High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) process engineers to shift engineering business processes and systems.
  • Maintain flexibility to shift assignments for critical build support or training needs.
  • Flexibility with changing priorities and responsibilities to support business needs.

The candidate should also exhibit the following behavioral traits/skills:

  • Work within a team to build shift priorities and deal with ambiguity.
  • Technical communication skills.
  • Model Based Problem Solving methods and structured 1 pager documentation.
  • Self-starter with multitasking abilities that demonstrate technical root causes analysis skills.
  • Leadership with influencing skills with both external and internal teams and willingness to work independently without much supervision.
  • Continuous positive performance reviews in current role.

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess an associate's degree in Chemical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Physics, Electrical Engineer or related field and 1+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possess a Mechanical, Technical or Process certification in a Fab environment.

1+ years of experience with one or more of the following:

  • In Manufacturing Fab/Lab Environment
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Process troubleshooting/programming of manufacturing equipment
  • Design of Experiments (DOE) principles
