Apple's Global Security Tools team builds web and iOS applications to protect Apple's people and information. Our Communications & Training team crafts corporate communications (email/web/video) and training for Apple employees worldwide. The apps & communications we develop and support are used/viewed daily by thousands of employees around the world to help them deliver amazing products and experiences to Apple's customers. We are constantly taking on new projects to address critical business and security challenges.

You will manage a team of developers writing software tools, reviewing others' contributions or discussing different approaches to solving technical challenge. You might meet with members of Apple's product development teams to learn about their work. You will serve as the manager and editorial voice of Apple's Global Security website, and will play a key role in helping craft messages & training for all of Apple. You'll serve as a technical leader within the organization, regularly suggesting opportunities to improve how we work as a team. Your team will deliver high-quality tools & information, whether by changing how we communicate or adopting new technologies.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years experience leading software engineering teams
  • Track record demonstrating the ability to build a diverse and strong team - attracting, hiring, retaining, motivating the best talent
  • Successful history launching high quality tools with a demonstrated commitment to product excellence
  • Passion for and prior experience designing and implementing outstanding user interfaces and customer experience
  • Ability to grow internal relationships, work effectively within cross-functional teams and lead through ambiguity
  • Possess a strong sense for the 'Apple voice' and presentation style including visual design, typography, brand, and color
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Description

Demonstrate clear and concise English verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrate mastery of OS X, iOS, and Keynote

Experience with enterprise level communication and collaboration tools such as Box, Quip and Slack preferred.

Proven ability to design effective communications which support audience needs and business goals

Highly organized, someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment, and loves learning new technologies

Education & Experience

BS Computer Science or equivalent experience. Additional experience in Communications, Public Relations, Editorial Writing or related field preferred.
