Apple is seeking a small Display technical EPM who will be responsible for leading a broad multi-functional team in developing Watch/Phone display programs. In this role, you will create and track project schedules for display components and also initiate communication between project teams and external vendors. As an engineering program manager in charge of technical issues during the development phase of the project, you will also collaborate and facilitate communication across engineering managers, operations managers, external vendors as well as internal executives. You will be managing vendors/manufacturing partners to meet very fast-paced design cycle, schedule and product quality. Phenomenal communication skills are crucial to thrive in this position.
Key Qualifications
- 5+ yrs of relevant industry experience
- Ability to travel internationally
- MS EE/CS/CE degree or equivalent preferred
- Knowledge of LCD/OLED design and process preferred
- Knowledge of Silicon/Semiconductor design and process preferred
- Experience in consumer/portable products preferred
- Experience working with offshore suppliers and manufacturers preferred
- A working understanding of high volume manufacturing processes preferred
- Strong critical thinking, communication and presentation skills with demonstrated leadership in dynamic, high-paced environments preferred
Description
Display EE EPMs must be excellent and effective organizers and leaders driving internal cross-functional engagements and activities, along with managing external suppliers. A successful candidate will help set strategy, execute on schedule and be responsible for managing/communicating status and issues along the way. This position demands technical strengths in many areas, including optical, mechanical, electrical, SW/FW and manufacturing. This position requires EE/CS/CE background or experience to deal with fast paced technical issues and development.
Major
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define project plans and schedules. Drive project execution.
Lead internal and external cross-functional teams in engineering and validation activities
Ensure tight inter-team coordination and communication
Strong presentation and communication skills required
Understand and communicate complex, technical/engineering issues
Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies and program issues quickly, efficiently and effectively
Manage development budgets and engineering builds
Education & Experience
BS EE/CS/CE degree or equivalent
MS preferred
