1. Engineering Project Manager, Completions involvement:
a. Lead a group of Project Engineers to coordinate project activities within engineering, with supporting documentation for System and Interior option designs, on Sikorsky’s line of commercial helicopters.
b. Review completion engineering activity and ensure that engineering tasks (such as customer data requirements, shop support, certification issues, engineering reports, and drawing releases) are completed within the scheduled time frames.
c. Have full understanding of the contract requirements for all engineering requirements for product completion.
d. Coordinate with Completions team, Engineering team, outside vendors, and aircraft program managers during the completions process.
e. Resolve interdepartmental issues proactively.
f. Monitor and report: engineering labor cost, performance against project budgets established by quotes, and technical integrity of all Engineering activity. Brief this reporting at an executive level.
g. Lead the engineering team in cost-estimating and basis of estimating rationale.
h. Prepare statements of work to support subcontracting of outside services and 3rd party equipment.
i. Develop and support quoting activities for engineering requirements as it relates to production, completions, 3rd party engineering, and Helicopter Services Division (HSD) activities.

2. Coordinate the use of outside Engineering consultants:
a. Coordinate the use of outside engineering consultants for successful certification projects.
b. Coordinate project objectives with outside contractors and manage the contractors' performance to project budgets and schedules.

3. Develop and maintain department procedures and policies:
a. Develop and recommend new department policies and procedures to Engineering Manager.
b. When approved, implement the procedures in a timely manner

4. Recommend new product business opportunities: In the time frame assigned, perform analysis and present options with a recommended course of action to the Engineer Manager for approval

Basic Qualifications
1. BA/BS Degree with at least 8 years relevant experience
2. MA/MS Degree with at least 6 years relevant experience
3. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Program Management preferred

Desired skills
1. Knowledge of aircraft completions, FAA certification procedures, and production and engineering processes
2. Strong knowledge of MS Project, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word
3. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
4. Able to effectively lead and manage people
5. Good interpersonal skills with an understanding of customer requirements and experience with managing production schedules
6. Ability to engage in productive activities, teaming and relationship building with other internal departments
