      Job Description

      The SEN Division is a large division whose primary mission is to sustain Electronic Warfare (EW) systems deployed by the US Air Force, US Navy, and US Army. The successful candidate will embrace the challenge of inserting modern technologies into these aging, complex systems. In this role, you will perform as a hardware design engineer and low-level firmware/software developer for a mid-sized team of engineers executing ongoing sponsored programs to sustain EW systems deployed on DoD platforms. The candidate will enjoy and thrive in a fast-paced learning environment and be able to adapt to evolving technical challenges.

      RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

      • Develop hardware designs for embedded systems
      • Develop firmware designs for embedded systems
      • Conduct circuit card layout and design
      • Develop low-level software and device drivers

      Education & Length of Experience

      Research Engineer/Scientist/Technologist I

      • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.

      REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

      • Education in digital hardware design
      • Education in low-level software development (assembly language and C programming language)

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Familiarity with development of embedded systems
      • Familiarity with MATLAB
      • Familiarity with RF waveforms and RF theory
      • Works well individually or in a group setting
      • Ability to self-motivate and derive specific requirements from general tasking descriptions

      U.S. Citizenship Requirements

      Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.

      Clearance Type Required

      Ability to obtain Secret Clearance upon hire
