You will be joining
the growing site of Intel New Mexico, which is the home for our
most advanced packaging technologies and the Technology Development
hub for our Embedded Multi-Die Interconnect Bridge (EMIB), Silicon
Photonics, and 3D-Xpoint memory initiatives.
As
a Quality and Reliability Engineer, you will part of CQN (Corporate
Quality Network), Intel's Quality and Reliability organization. You
will work internally with the site functional areas and engineering
teams, EMIB TD Team, Packaging TD teams, Intel assembly sites, and
the various business units.
As a Technology
Development Quality and Reliability Engineer, you will be part of
CQN (Corporate Quality Network), Intel's Quality and Reliability
organization. We are strong believers in partnership,
collaboration, and teamwork. You will work internally with the site
functional areas and engineering teams, EMIB
TD Team,
Packaging TD teams, Intel assembly sites, and the various business
units.
Your key roles will include develop,
apply, and maintain procedures, monitors and reliability stresses
which are needed to ensure our products quality and reliability.
Using data extraction tools, custom scripts, and statistical
analysis techniques, you will need to independently extract,
analyze, assess, and present inline and end of line data to track
our key quality and reliability indicators and flag for any risk.
In the case of a miss process or signal from one of our monitors,
you will lead a team to identify the root cause and perform risk
assessments to disposition the impacted material. Additionally,
you'll be responsible for collaborating with Ad-hoc teams to
solving complex technological/reliability problems as well as
setting and driving a strong quality culture
Our
site, your next working place, is located at Rio Rancho, on the
outskirts of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Intel is located at the heart
of a growing and vibrant community, but still a short driving
distance from beautiful parks with endless year-round outdoor
activities.
Your key deliverables will
include:
Developing EMIB processes and products to meet Intel's stringent and reliability requirements
Working closely with the Technology Development Teams to assess Reliability concerns throughout the process development and certification process.
Manage customer quality (both internal and external) issues on products. Support and engage with down-stream partners to manage excursions, down-stream investigations, and respond to issues.
Partnering with other organizations to proactively drive improvements in quality and reliability performance.
Ensure that the metrics and goals for the end-of-line-hold operations are met, as well as MRB inventory.
Develops, applies, and maintains quality and reliability standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
Risk assessment, containment, communication, and investigation of questionable/discrepant material.
Specifies inspection and testing mechanism conducts quality assessment (up to and including audits) and performs statistical analysis to determine the responsibility for products and systems that do not meet required specifications.
Delivers standardization in product qualification, manufacturing quality systems, and methods.
Provide feedback to BU, TD, and/or partner engineering group on design or method and statistical process control procedures including manufacturing systems in HVM.
Determines reliability requirements and automated screening methodologies of components and systems to achieve company, customer, and any governmental agency reliability objectives.
Develops new acceleration techniques, analytical tools, and quality screens to assure the early identification of potential problems with new products, packaging, processes, and product quality/reliability.
Identify and drive activities and projects to improve detection and containment of potentially discrepant or unreliable material.
Makes recommendations for changes in design or formulation to improve the system and/or process/product reliability.
Certification of new EMIB technologies.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- The candidate must have a Master's degree in Electrical/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering/Physics or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant engineering experience in semiconductors Fab process, Yield, Reliability, or Test/Validation.
Preferred
qualifications:
- A Ph.D. degree in Electrical/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering/Physics or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience in semiconductors Fab process, Yield, Reliability, or Test/Validation.
- Experience in process Certification and reliability risk assessment, quality systems, and quality culture knowledge
- Working experience in semiconductor manufacturing, packaging, or testing Eng role.
- Proven experience with industry quality and reliability standards such as ISO9001, JEDEC and familiarity with industry standards problem solving techniques like 5 whys, 8D etc.
- Scripting capabilities (Python, C#, SQL or similar)
