Job Description

Join the Intel Fab11X Thin Films Metrology team where you will be instrumental in developing some of Intel's newest technologies - Bridge and Photonics technologies and products. Help us realize Intel's vision to create and extend computing technology to connect and enrich the lives of every person on Earth.
Development engineering responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Define roadmaps to meet requirements, goals, and milestones for a new technology process.

  • Defines and establishes flow, procedures, and equipment configuration for the module.

  • Selects and develops material and equipment for the process to meet quality, yield, reliability, cost, productivity, and manufacturability requirements.

  • Plans and conducts experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle. Drives improvements on quality, yield, reliability, process stability/capability and productivity.

  • Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools.

  • Develops strategy to resolve difficult problems and establishes systems to deal with these problems in the future.

  • Transfers process to high volume manufacturing and provide support in new production lines.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Qualifications listed as preferred or additional will be considered a plus factor for applicants.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Optics, or related field of study.

  • Must have 2+ year(s) of experience in: Semiconductor processes (Thin Films, Diffusion, Planar, Implant, Litho, Etch, sort/test and/or Metrology).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1+ year(s) experience in the semiconductor environment. Experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, military training and/or work experience.

  • 1+ year(s) of knowledge in statistics and experimental design; and the skills to apply that knowledge to tool matching, tool qualification, and process development.

  • 1+ year(s) in advanced knowledge in Optics and design of experiments.
