Factory Automation System Software Architect

Intel's Technology
Development Analytics and Technology Automation (TD ATA)
organization hires talented engineers to create, develop, test, and
support factory automation systems that enable Intel to manufacture
leading edge semiconductors. As a System Software Architect within
TD ATA Central Engineering team, you will partner with other
engineers to deliver and implement leading-edge automation
solutions that enable efficient and effective manufacturing of
products in Intel Fab and Assembly/Test factories. These solutions
include Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Automated Material
Handling Systems (AMHS), among
others.
Responsibilities will include
but not be limited
to:
- Leading highly-matrixed, cross-organizational technical teams that are directly tied to the development, implementation or upgrade of factory automation software solutions for Intel factories.
- Managing technical projects or programs where consistent decisions are made regarding the overall goals and objectives of significant programs or segments of the organization through all phases of the lifecycle.
- Managing technical interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders.
- Setting technical direction for programs by determining and balancing the technical need vs business impact of project/program decisions and operates within the guardrails.
- Assessing risks and identifying technical solutions to timely, efficient achievement of program goals. Ensuring that quality standards and budget constraints are met.
- Influencing business unit or cross-organizational strategies relevant to technical program goals.
- The ideal candidate should exhibit an understanding of the technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with the defined program.
This is a senior
position, and the candidate is expected to provide technical
expertise on systems design and
deployment.
Qualifications
You
must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially
considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in
addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus
factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum
Qualifications:
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- At least 10 years of experience in managing factory automation projects and programs, and delivering factory automation solutions through factory acceptance testing and implementation
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Experience with semiconductor factory Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Experience with semiconductor Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS)

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
