This position can be either a Financial Analyst II or a Sr. Financial Analyst based on the candidates qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Qualified candidate may be able to work remote at management discretion.

The Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wireless-guided (TOW) Weapon System program in the Land Warfare and Air Defense (LWAD) mission area; Close Combat Systems (CCS) product area has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst to provide analytical support and financial oversight over cost type Engineering Services and Development contracts. This role will require constant re-evaluation and updating of detail level forecasts with an emphasis on variance analysis, monthly external customer reporting, quarterly EACs, external EVMS reporting on expected new awards, focus on process improvements and resource optimization to minimize future variances and drive profitability.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Generating and analyzing cost of sales forecasts for upwards of $25M of annual labor with various engineering staffing and material costs including IOT cost flows and supplier Purchase Orders (PO)
Weekly evaluation of financial metrics, manpower planning, analysis of performance and updates to monthly financial forecast in Rplan
Quarterly analysis, evaluation of performance, assembly and review of Estimate at Complete (EAC) of multiple Technical Directives
Assembly of monthly external customer schedule and cost reporting
Establishing execution budgets for new contract awards and evaluating performance against those budgets, including risk identification/socialization
Support and analyze new proposal development with an emphasis on evaluation of performance assumptions relative to historical trends
Contribute to cross-functional teams with an emphasis on financial implications of team decisions and ensure finance team knowledge of program decisions
Ensuring proper cost collection on cost type contracts to ensure billing takes place on a timely manner
Organizing and leading meetings with programs and various levels of leadership
Inputs and updates to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and 5-year sales objectives
Ad-hoc request support in a fast-paced environment
Develop, utilize and disseminate process improvement and tool improvement opportunities to enhance analytical opportunities for the entire finance team
Other Financial Analysis and Planning responsibilities may include:
Review and analyze Production manpower and material forecasts
Earned Value establishment and analysis for newly awarded Cost Type Development contracts

This role will involve significant interaction with and knowledge of:

SAP APEX
SAP PRISM
Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Powerpoint
Rplan
Business Warehouse

Minimum Required Education, Skills & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Business, Math, Accounting, Finance or a related field and a minimum 2 years professional experience in business discipline, 0 years of experience with directly related Masters degree
Experience with data analysis and reporting
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas)

Highly Desired Skills:

Working knowledge of SAP APEX, PRISM and related financial systems
Understanding of Earned Value principles and reporting
Working knowledge of IOT cost flows
Able to meet critical deadlines
Experience multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment
Experience improving processes and data analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working within teams
Critical thinking skills
