Client
SOC Architecture (CSA) is looking for a Firmware
Verification Engineer to join their team and
in this position, you will be working as part of a
pre-silicon firmware verification team for current and next
generation Client SOC
Products.
Your
responsibilities will include but not be limited
to:
- Creating test environments, checker strategies, and test generators for validating embedded power management firmware in the SOC
- Learning the FW architecture and related SOC architecture by debugging test failures to the root cause
- Developing and utilizing various software tools and/or methodologies with the goal to ensure highly functional firmware
- Communicating effectively, coordinating and working with firmware developers and SOC integration teams
- Potentially participating in the debug of failures in silicon and developing new testing strategies to detect these failures on pre-silicon models
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
Bachelor's
in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related
field plus 3+ years of experience. OR a Master's
degree.
Your experience
should be in the following
areas:
- Software development skills
- Experience with reading and interpreting technical specs, Firmware
- Experience with Firmware/Embedded Firmware/Software development or verification
- 1 year experience with UNIX or Linux
Preferred qualifications
- Good understanding of Computer Architecture
- 1+ years' experience with writing validation plans and/or software to implement those validation plans
- Object Oriented Programming experience, C++ and/or Ruby programming
- Advanced SW development skills (Unit Testing, Test Driven Development)
- 6 months+ experience with validation or testing experience, especially in a silicon design team
- 6 months+ experience working on SOC projects in Validation or Tools domains, , and Register Transfer Level (RTL) code

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
