Join Intel's Programmable Solutions Group to create, build and deliver on the future of FPGA technology. You will be part of a high-performance Firmware team that has a culture of open communication, empowerment, innovation, teamwork and customer success.
As a developer you
will demonstrate your technical leadership participating in tasks
that range from interacting with customers on requirements to
architecting, designing, implementing and unit-testing code to
support innovative features and apply your expertise in a fast
paced technically driven
environment.
Responsibilities:
Actively participate in all stages of the firmware development life-cycle (requirements definition, research, code design/development, unit test development, debugging on customer boards, etc.).
Investigate technologies and solutions which help the team achieve deliverables on the product road map.
Design, develop, and debug embedded firmware code and test.
Design for testability and debuggability.
Define functional and non-functional requirements for firmware.
Work closely with architecture team to enhance the design and implementation of the code and tests.
Qualifications
4 or more years of relevant industry experience in embedded software or firmware development.
Solid C/C++ programming and debugging skills.
Experience with embedded firmware development environments including compilers, debuggers, emulators, and toolchains.
Experience in using CI/CD frameworks for software development (Github, Gitlab, Jenkins, etc.).
Worked with real-time operating system (RTOS) and HW/SW interactions.
Full product development lifecycle experience.
Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Qualifications:
Experience developing software for embedded CPU SOCs.
Experience in design and implementation of multitasking, event driven firmware using C/C++.
Agile or Lean development methodology.
Test-driven development.
Pre-silicon firmware development using chip simulation and/or emulation tools and post-silicon bring-up.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
