Become a member of one of the largest engineering companies in the world. We are a high-performance Firmware team spread across Portland, Oregon and Austin, Texas, working on cutting edge security features. We are currently looking for an experienced Firmware Engineer to join the team, to help with next generation FPGA Silicon projects.
As a Firmware Engineer you will design, implement the FPGA configuration firmware, with extensive security features (Platform Attestation, Anti-Tamper, Black Key Provisioning, etc.), as well as work with the Hardware RTL team, BootROM team, and Platform team side-by-side for the highest quality Silicon offering. Ideally, we'd expect this new team member to be a fast learner, self-motivated and be self-driven on learning new technologies, having the urge to conquer the most complex firmware issues and system level puzzles. You will get to work with a group of experienced firmware developers with the average industry experience of 10+ years; it will be an extremely rewarding and joyful experience to you here for the upcoming years.
Qualifications
Relevant
experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project
work, internships, and/or military experience. Preferred
qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are
considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Must have the required degree or expect the required degree by
Summer 2022
Minimum
Qualifications
3+ years of experience
(1+ with Master's/PhD) in industry inclusive
of:
C/C++ programming
Firmware (FW) design and/or debugging
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following is considered a
plus
8+ years of firmware experience
Embedded Firmware
Past/Present experience working with a FPGA product
Low level programming experience with HW, BootROM
Security feature and experience
Hardware experience
Pre-Si and Post-Si experience
Full product development cycle exposure

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
