General Technologist - Configuration Management (Experienced)

We are seeking an experienced General Technologist to join our high-performing, diverse team and lead configuration management activities for the Mobile Guardian Transporter development effort. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and maintaining processes and tools to ensure that documentation is properly stored, and hardware is properly managed. The configuration management effort is a critical element to the project and the contributions of the CM Lead will be key to our success in delivering this critical national security asset.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Create, update, and maintain document and hardware management processes and tools to ensure integrity and efficiency of these processes
+ Manage execution of Configuration Management processes to ensure these processes are properly implemented
+ Coordinate the change control process to ensure that decisions of the Change Control Board are made in a timely manner and all associated documentation is stored properly
+ Collaborate with project staff and the Project Leadership Team to obtain feedback on and inform process improvements
+ Partner with the Assembly and Integration and the Qualification Teams to ensure data packages for hardware installed in prototypes are produced and stored


+ Two years experience in a similar information or configuration management role on a product development effort involving some aspects of document and hardware management as described above
+ Demonstrated experience with enterprise document management tools


+ Demonstrated knowledge of Sandias document management systems including EIMS FileNet and PDMLink
+ Experience performing hardware management with AEMS
+ Demonstrated ability to take broad direction to implement solutions without detailed guidance or oversight
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new skills, while developing solutions based on project needs
+ Strong teaming and interpersonal skills
+ An active DOE Q Clearance

Department Description:

We are responsible for executing the multi-year development effort for the next generation transporter, the Mobile Guardian Transporter, from conceptual design to production. The department works with multiple internal and external organizations as well as the NNSA customer to plan and efficiently implement the program. Members of the Transporter Systems Development department provide the programmatic, technical, and system engineering leadership for all aspects of the multi-disciplinary development effort.

Security Clearance:
