Xe Silicon Engineering Team has an excellent opportunity for you. XSE is responsible for delivering industry-leading GPU (3D, media, compute, and display) hardware, intellectual property (IP) blocks and system-on-a-chip (SoC) products for Client discrete graphics and data center high performance computing. We strive to lead the industry through continuous innovation and world-class engineering. We are looking for an experienced Chief Architect/VP/Fellow/xxx to lead the XE Silicon SOC Architecture team that defines and delivers high performance SoC solutions to GFx client and server markets.

In this unique role, the ideal candidate will be responsible not only for defining the technical direction for the SOC ARCH organization but also providing strategic input and insight to senior management to shape future GPU products.

A relentless focus on leading by example and inspiring others to achieve more than they thought capable is expected in this role, which by its definition will require a novel mix of technical leadership, managerial acumen, and strategic insight to inspire others to follow an articulated technical vision for the organization.

The candidate will need to collaborate across Product Management, Engineering organizations and Executive management to deliver coordinated innovative solutions for one of the high growth market segments for Intel - accelerated computing systems and GFx. The candidate will be expected to synthesize architectures and technology concepts across the discrete GFx client and server markets.

Candidates must have broad experience across SW, HW and Systems architecture, and the ability to draw upon an extensive network of peers and collaborators in other disciplines.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Serving as the primary technical representative of the GPU SoC architecture team
* Oversight of pathfinding and advanced development activities including performance modeling and analysis, other domain and SOC architecture work
* Authoring and Review of SoC Architectures solutions and specifications in advance of approval for Execution
* Ownership of the Concept and Feasibility Stages of the discrete GFx products
* Definition and ownership of top-level deliverables and results on behalf of the SoC arch organization
* Leading a globally diverse team including people managers and ICs
* External presentations to senior executives at customers on organization and architectural strategies
* Active external engagement/influencing with organizations such as IEEE, SAE, and Universities
* Generate executive management status updates including recommendations to Sr. Exec / MCM members
* Authoring, Review and Editing of key collateral to support the businesses strategic objectives
* Develop keynote presentations and other executive collateral
* Fostering a culture of innovation by encouraging frequent filing of Invention Disclosures and Patents


* Bachelors + 15 years' experience in CS/EE/CE or other appropriate technical field of study
* Masters + 10 years' experience in CS/EE/CE or other appropriate technical field of study
* Management experience for teams of up to at least 30+ people
* 10+ years product development and architecture experience
* Expert knowledge of System Architecture concepts and design patterns

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
