Job Description

The XPU Power and Performance Projection and Attainment Group (XPPA) group in Intel's Accelerated Computing Group (AXG)'s Xe Silicon Engineering(XSE) is looking for a GPU/SOC perf modeling engineer to drive power and performance optimizations across super compute graphics processors.

The candidate shall join the XPU Power and Performance Projection and Attainment Group and will be responsible to build power and performance models for SoC and the card, run simulations, perform technical decomposition for usages to finally achieve and beat its power and performance goals.

Responsibilities and duties include but not limited to:

  • Develop high fidelity performance models to help architecture studies
  • Implement key architecture and uArch features into the modeling framework to project the performance and correlate with simulation/emulation/si data
  • Engage in continuous innovation and improvement of performance modelling frameworks

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related field with 8+ years of experience. OR a Masters degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related field with 5+ years of experience. OR Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related field with 2+ years of experience:

Your experience should be in the following:

  • Experience with performance modeling, analysis of subsystems and their micro-architectural implications
  • Good understanding of Microarchitecture SoC subsystems:-  PCIe OR fabric OR memory controllers OR cache controller OR interconnects
  • Experience with Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable C++ code
  • Experience on version control tools git, SVN

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good understanding of memory efficiency of various memory technologies of DDR, GDDRx, HBM would be preferred
  • Good understanding of build tools like Makefile, Sconscript etc

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
